Hot School Meals

 

 

 

 

Please take a look at the menus attached, showing meals for the Summer Term.

Children are provided with a free school meal if their family is receiving appropriate benefit.  If you believe that you qualify for Free School Meals, you will need to register your child/ren using the online application form*. If your application is successful, your child will be eligible for Free School Meals and Pupil Premium support which will remain in place until they reach the end of Year 6.  

 

All children in  Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a free lunch under the Universal Infant Free School Meal Programme.

Parents of children in Key Stage 2 (Year 3, 4, 5 and 6) can pre-order on Hobbs’ website www.hobbsschoolcatering.co.uk , by choosing Giffard Park Primary on the ‘Our Schools’ dropdown box and then click the link ‘Order Form’.  You will then complete the form and included in this form are the bank details for you to make a payment via your bank account.

Entitlement to Free School Meals for children in school in Year 3 and above is not universal.  You will need to make a separate application and your eligibility will be dependent on the benefits that you receive. 

 

Who is eligible?

You must be in receipt of one of the below benefits to be eligible for a Free School Meal for your child/children.

Income Support

Employment & Support Allowance – Income-related

Income-Based Job Seekers Allowance (NOT Contribution Based JSA)

Child Tax Credit only (with a combined family income of less than £16,190 per annum as assessed by HM Revenues & Customs) Please note, anyone receiving Working Tax Credit, regardless of income, will NOT qualify for FSMs.

Working Tax Credit run-on – paid 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit

Universal Credit

National Asylum Seekers Support (NASS)

Guaranteed Element of Pension Tax Credit
