School Council visit Houses of Parliament

16th June 2016
On Thursday 16th June, the School Council went on a thrilling trip to London. They travelled by train and went to No 10 Downing Street, where they had a peek inside the door, had their photographs taken and interviewed the policeman on duty at the door. After that, they enjoyed a picnic lunch in St James’ Park and went to Buckingham Palace. The final event of the trip was a guided tour of the Houses of Parliament where they were able to stand in the House of Lords and the House of Commons. They also took part in a Crown and Parliament workshop where they found out a great deal about the law, voting rights and Kings and Queens through history.
